Privacy Policy

Last updated June 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Traitsly (“we”, “us”, or the “Service”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Service. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and organization details you provide at sign-up.
  • Content you submit — the data you create or upload while using the Service, such as assessments, responses, and results.
  • Billing information — subscription and payment details, which are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected automatically as you use the Service.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • process payments and manage your subscription;
  • communicate with you about your account, including service, security, and transactional messages; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service:

  • Service providers — vendors who process data on our behalf (for example, hosting, email delivery, and payment processing) under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Traitsly, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and hashing of passwords and sensitive secrets. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your account information directly in the Service, or contact us to exercise these rights. You may also opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service, such as keeping you signed in and protecting against cross-site request forgery. We do not use them to track you across unrelated sites.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by updating the date above or notifying you in the Service). Your continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
